This allows a network engineer to configure the private WAN once and be able to transition between the public clouds on the service side without reconfiguration of the private WAN. A Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) VPN is a VPN connection that is built over an MPLS network (private connection). An Internet VPN is a VPN connection that is built over the public Internet (public connection). A private wide area network (WAN) is one or more network connections between your facilities using public WAN connectivity methods.
